Saturday special fried chicken!!!

So its a Saturday and my mom has no clue what to make for our lunch.for a few days me and my sister were contemplating with the idea of making some fried chicken because you obviously cannot afford to go to KFC every alternate day...
So it was decided.FRIED CHICKEN it is... and here is what we did..i first marinated the chicken in a mixture of some curd, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, ground coriander green chilies ginger and garlic....after marinating it for almost an hour in the refrigerator I took it out and let it come to room temperature...
For the crispy outer cover I replaced cornflakes with bread crumbs..first i dipped the chicken piece in corn flour then in the beaten egg which had a little salt in it and then finally coated it with bread crumbs...
I fried the chicken in hot oil for about 3 minutes and HALLELUJAH ...the final result was awesome..it was crispy from outside and tender and juicy from inside ..we vowed never to go to KFC again..instead we would make fried chicken at home...he he

An afternoon well spent!!!!

Plan B

You really feel dejected when you plan something and it is not executed the way you want it. like you are pinning to get in to this university but at the end you are rejected and all your dreams start to crumble around you, or you are hoping to get a job in that dream publishing house but instead you get in to an all together different company...
For some days you feel lost, you feel angry and you loose all your mojo..trust me this has happened to all of us at some point of time!!!! when some thing like this happens to me i listen to sad song and linkin park.......... but what if you take up the other university or join the second company offer that came your way...y are we so hell bent on executing our plan A???? y not embrace plan B??? recently a friend of mine freshly graduated out of a premiere institute got an offer from one of the top oil companies. he was on cloud nine, happy, excited about what the future held....but things took an ugly turn and things dint materialize .he was still hoping things would work out some how but even after months nada. i told him to start looking for some other jobs,he wasn't convinced at first but late gave in..
And guess what he found a much better job which pays him much better then the previous one,his happy working for his current organisation. he embraced plan B. and today he is way happier than other friends of his who are working wit that oil company.things do slow down sometimes there are a lot of hits and misses, wrong signals but trust me when things work out it feels great. so what if that was not the original plan... trust me plan A is always much better than plan B... some people don't believe in the idea of plan B...mostly because they are control freaks, want things to happen exactly the way they want...but things can be unpredictable... its rosy this moment the next its grey....so accept that comes your way,you never know that may suit you better. things do work around the second time sometimes...like u might flunk the practical the first time but u might clear it the next time, first marriage dint work but u might get lucky the second time... give urself a chance....accept plan B and life  might just get rosier!!!
So next time let the things flow the way they are ;)
Cheers!!!
